When youth are not wearing their Field Uniforms, they wear an Activity Uniform (see description below). The Activity Uniform is the same uniform as the Field Uniform except the participants. This means the youth wear the Official BSA Scout shorts or pants and BSA Scout socks throughout the course. Participants will also receive course materials, one (1) NYLT activity shirt and a name tag. FIELD UNIFORMScout shirt with proper insignia. Scout Shorts/Pants.

Annual Medical Form Part A, B, and C must be current, complete and signed by both parent/guardian and physician. Physicals will be accepted and screened at course reception.
BSA medical forms are valid for 1 year. Please ensure the participant. Therefore, no form should be dated any earlier than April 1. Medical forms will only be accepted at check in. If your unit maintains a copy of your medical form, please ensure that you acquire that form prior to arriving at NYLT. When the youth checks in at NYLT, they will also check with the medic who will review any medications. Medications must arrive in their original containers with clear instructions on dosage.
Medications will be held by the medic during the course. The medic will provide general reminders throughout the day, and will do their best to track individual medications.
If this is an issue, please discuss with the medic or the Course Director during registration process. For Health and Safety reasons youth should bring with them an emergency inhaler and/or EPIPEN if applicable. This will be the ONLY medication a youth will be able to maintain personal possession of. REMINDER: You must have the current and BSA Health Form completed and signed by both parent/guardian and physician.

When you arrive to pick up your participant, please be patient as they may be in the process of cleaning the course facilities. No participant will be allowed to depart prior to course areas being cleaned and brought back to a state at or better than we accepted it. Please do not ask permission for the participant to leave any earlier. On the final training day of the course there will be a GRADUATION FEAST and Closing Ceremony.
As this is part of the program, all participants will be required to attend. You are highly encouraged to attend as well and see your youth graduate from this leadership program. Tickets for the FEAST are $5 per person. Order forms for the tickets will be in your welcome packet. You are able to submit that at check- in during the course check- in.
